Businesses are invited to register their interest in South Tyneside Council’s roundabout sponsorship scheme which will be launched on the 1st June.
Upgraded and New Advertising Signs for Every Sponsor
There are currently 29 sites available in key locations across South Tyneside, including Jarrow and South Shields town centres, outside main supermarkets and on some of the busiest arterial roads in the area.
The entire portfolio includes 65 x 1.2-metre-wide advertising signs which will be viewed 13.7 million times per month, making it the most significant advertising platform in South Tyneside. New sponsors will also benefit from brand new and upgraded advertising signs which will be installed specifically for their campaign as part of the re-launch.
Feature your Business in Tourist & Visitor Hotspots
Famous for being Catherine Cookson Country, the coastal town of South Shields is one of the region’s most popular seaside resorts and includes the Ocean Beach Pleasure Park, and is the oldest & largest town in the area.
There’s also the National Trust-owned Souter Lighthouse and The Leas which draw thousands of visitors to the area. As well as being renowned as the finish line for the Great North Run, The Leas is also famed for the spectacular views from its limestone cliffs, and the iconic Souter lighthouse which was the first in the world to be designed and built to use electricity.
It’s also home to one of the most famous brands in the world – Barbour – who have their headquarters, warehouse and a factory outlet there.
All these continue to attract visitors to South Tyneside and help to boost the tourism industry. Strategically placed advertising in these popular locations helps local businesses to directly target these large and varied audiences, something which is difficult to achieve through other media platforms.
Who Can Sponsor the Sites?
The scheme is open to all local businesses to allow them to promote their products and services, for recruitment purposes, or simply to raise awareness of their location and build local presence. However, there is the possibility that one sponsor can reserve the entire portfolio if interest is registered at this early stage.
Businesses can reserve one or more sites in their desired location, and are encouraged to express their interest now to ensure that they are one of the first to be part of this exciting new scheme.
