The Objective

To reduce accidents involving cyclists at a notorious blackspot.

The Strategy

Croydon Council were concerned about the number of accidents specifically involving cyclists at a notorious road junction. Using carefully-designed artwork located at all the approaches to the junction, the Council were able to highlight the issue. Critically, the message was displayed just at the point where people most needed to be aware of the problem.

The Result

Over a 3-month period, the number of accidents dropped dramatically and the Council have renewed their campaign several times already.
